Doctor Frederick S. Waterbury
Waterbury Park, later known as Waterbury Summer Resort was founded by Doctor Frederick Waterbury.
Frederick S. Waterbury was born in 1865 in Connecticut. He died May 9, 1942 in Logan county Ohio. He was preceded in death by his first wife Sarah Dudley and his second wife Prudence. Tragically his son and resort operator, Frederick William Waterbury 16 Apr 1889= April 23, 1940, died in Logan County Ohio from Spinal Meningitis. They were survived by his grandson Robert Louis Waterbury January 9, 1924-December 6, 2011. On August 11th, 1925, the Waterbury Summer Resort was dedicated by W. Clifford Sutton and C. LeRoy Sutton as Waterbury Summer Resort which dedicated the plat of the lots, streets and avenues to the public forever.
